The LAPSEN Micro-Credential Certification is a new training and student certification initiative to document student career ready skill sets. The Basic Set covers most crime scene recording and documentation skill sets as well as evidence collection.

This eight hour class will certify instructors to train and certify their students in the NFPA 2400 Standard for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) Used for Public Safety Operations (2019 edition) certification. The certification demonstrates students have the basic knowledge of drone operations in the public safety environment. Instructors without dispatch experience may need to take an online course prior to the training. The certification demonstrates students have the basic knowledge, skills, and experience to understand the functional operation of an emergency communications system, and their role and responsibilities within the emergency communications system.
